On March 8th, in celebration of the United Nation's International Women's Day, STEM Learning Lab and Million Women Mentors Canada are hosting a WOMEN and GIRLS IN STEM EVENT at West Island College.

The goal of our event is to inform parents, teachers, community members, corporate partners and students about the importance of engaging girls in STEM and to show them where they can access information and resources.

Event Overview:

  • Professional Speaker Series & Panel discussion sharing experiences as Women in STEM
  • Opportunities for kids, ages 8-18, to engage in hands-on STEM activities such as:
    • Create with Master Maker Suzanne Presinal
    • Build circuits to control LED lights
    • Lego + Coding
    • Robots + Coding
    • 3D Printer Activity

The event runs from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm.

This is a FREE community event! Snacks are provided!
