Deryl Williams, Global Partnerships at Alberta Innovates

Deryl is currently the Manager of Global Partnerships at Alberta Innovates. Global Partnerships works with Alberta SMEs through ever expanding programs for technology development and technology demonstration. Deryl has over 25 years’ direct experience of doing business in twenty countries in industries that include telecommunications, IT, and oil & gas services. Now, with Alberta Innovates, Deryl provides advise and coaching to companies involved in our current programs.


Shaun Naidu, Account Manager at Export Development Canada

There are a lot of fears and risks commonly associated with exporting - that’s where Export Development Canada comes in. Shaun assists companies with financing, insurance (to reduce the risk of doing business abroad), and provides export knowledge to help them align for success. He is passionate about helping companies overcome barriers and succeed abroad and brings a wealth of knowledge from his past experience in Commercial Banking.


Lauren MacLennan, Trade Commissioner at Global Affairs Canada

Lauren is responsible for assisting companies in the sustainable technology sector. A rotational officer, Lauren has previously completed assignments in Vancouver, Australia, New Zealand, and Ottawa. Originally from Alberta, she is excited to be home and looks forward to assisting companies in the Prairies and Northwest Territories region to reach their international business development goals.
