Hosted by Rainforest Alberta members Brittany Stark & Glen Gordon
This is a six-week program running on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
As social (good) interloper Pete Lafontaine says - Rainforest is about creating collisions between Innovators and Entrepreneurs to build an ecosystem - and it's up to all of us in the ecosytem to make it happen.
If you are like us, you get energized and motivated by attending things like the weekly Rainforest LWOL meetings at Nucleus, but the nature of the beast means that there are hundreds of fellow Rainforest Creatures that you have never met, or you met once and then never connected (collided) with again.
The intent of this event is to provide a little more time, a lot more randomness, and a casual licensed atmosphere to meet other members and talk about the state of our ecosystem. The guiding principles of the evening are the 10 elements of the Rainforest Social Contract: Diversity, Free Help, Trust, Pay it Forward, Fairness, Listening, Honesty, Team Sport, Sharing, and (Being a) Role Model. In order to attend you must have signed the social contract. If you haven't signed it yet, head over to www.rainforestab.ca to learn more about it.
Here is how this event will work:
The evening will build on the Lunch without Lunch (LWOL) by providing a space for members to not only network, but also to give them more time to share information and explore ideas with one another.
