This event will explore how Calgary is approaching its tech talent shortage at a time when technology is emerging as a catalyst of new growth in the city. This panel discussion will dive into the exact nature of Calgary’s skill gap in tech and the hurdles it presents to growth. You can expect to learn more about the strategies local organizations and companies are using to fill the gap and hear some lively debate as to where the industry is headed.

Hosted at the Work Nicer, this panel is a great opportunity for everyone to contribute to a very important and pertinent conversation on how to develop and attract the talent required to accelerate the continued growth of the tech community in Calgary.

"In evaluating the technology talent landscape in cities across the country, it's obvious that this is becoming a big moment for Calgary's tech community. Buried under the oil and gas and agriculture economy there has always been a very strong tech sector in this city. With the current economic climate, there has emerged some really impressive movement to strengthen and grow that community from a variety of key players." - Jeremy Shaki
