Hosted by University of Alberta and University of Calgary Nanotechnology Groups
Are you doing cutting-edge research in nanotechnology? Do you want to showcase your nano research to others? Are you interested in making contacts with other experts in the field from industry and academia?
The University of Alberta and University of Calgary Nanotechnology Groups invite you to join us for the 5th Annual Alberta Nano Research Symposium, which will be held on May 3-4, 2018 at the Westerner Park in Red Deer. This two-day event will consist of keynote, invited and student talks, and a poster session.
The Alberta Nano Research Symposium will provide an opportunity to enhance knowledge in nanotechnology, as well as promote the development of new collaborations with experts in this field. The target audience includes industry professionals, governmental stakeholders, and students/academics from the U of A and the U of C.The symposium will examine research and development made in Alberta across the field of nanotechnology.
Our theme this year is “Celebrating Diversity in Nanoscience” and the symposium deliberations will include the following topics, but not limited to: energy, environment, biomedicine, sensors, and nanofabrication. Research in nanotechnology will be featured through oral and poster presentations. Our distinguished keynote speakers:
-Dr. Mark MacLaughlan, Canada Research Chair in Supramolecular Materials, University of British Columbia
-Dr. Tim Kelly, Canada Research Chair in Photovoltaics, University of Saskatchewan
