Calgary's Innovation Rodeo is five days of education, collaboration, competition and celebration of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Its aim is to connect out-of-town Innovators and Entrepreneurs - who visit Calgary during theCalgary Stampede - with some of Calgary’s best problem solvers, brightest Innovators, and most promising Entrepreneurs so everyone can build new connections, exchange ideas, develop new skills, solve Innovation Challenges, and help each other commercialize new products and services.
Held Monday, July 8th to Friday, July 12th, the Innovation Rodeo includes a $25,000 pitch competition and $6,000 in cash prizes for the Innovation Challenges that run Tuesday to Thursday.
International business development expert Barbara Weaver Smith, from Chandler Arizona, is our keynote speaker Monday afternoon and she will show participants how to sell more to Fortune 500 companies.
The topics for the lunch panels that each have four speakers are:
- Tuesday: Buying and Selling a Business
- Wednesday: Customer Acquisition
- Thursday: Exporting to the US and Beyond
Friday afternoon a successful serial entrepreneur will share how to build a billion-dollar company and we’ll have the provincial finals of the $25,000 pitch competition.
Tickets start at just $30 and can be purchased for the entire week or individual afternoons at innovationrodeo.ca.
